Martín Melchor
Martín’s whimsical hand carved animals are distinctly his own style. He comes from a family of artists from San Martín, beginning with his father and including several siblings who are all talented in their own right. Martin's work includes animals in various forms - Giraffes pulling carts, libraries with bunnies, all types of animals on stilts or bikes, fishing and more. Recently, his wife Melinda has begun creating hand sewn costumes for some of the figures on stilts imitating some of the traditional dances native to the area. All fun, bright and happy. Martín's family is from San Martín Ticajete, Oaxaca where they are dedicated to their wonderful family.
